Working...
Dear Pre-Kindergarten Students and Parents,
My name is Jennifer Cordes. This is my eleventh year of teaching here at Overton Public School. I graduated from UNK with a degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education. I am currently working on my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Elementary. This is what has brought me to the wonderful school of Overton. I am so excited and anxious to get the year underway.
To tell you a little about myself, I grew up in Worms, Nebraska and attended the parochial school there for the first nine years of my education. For those of you who do not know or have never heard of Worms, Nebraska it is located approximately 25 miles North of Grand Island. It is a small town of around 35 citizens. I then went to high school in Palmer, Nebraska where I loved playing sport and all the wonderful activities that a small school provides. After graduating from Palmer Public High School, I started at UNK.
On a more recent note, my husband and I have a 6 year old daughter! Her name is Audra and she is a sweet, loving, and compassionate little girl. She is always on the go and keeps my life interesting and full of love. We also have a 3 year old little boy named Sawyer. He is a sweet, crazy, and all boy. He keeps me on my toes and is quite opposite of his sister. We are also expecting our third child (2nd little boy) in November!
I believe strongly that your involvement in your child's Pre-Kindergarten grade year will have a major influence on your child's attitude and success. I invite you to visit the classroom, call, email, or send notes with any concerns or questions. I will do my best to get back to you as fast as I can.
I look forward to my time with your child. I know that we will have many wonderful learning experiences and lots of fun! It will be a wonderful, exciting year. I hope that you are as excited as I am!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Cordes
