In this course, students will develop an understanding of the basic principles of accounting. Students will learn how to analyze transactions and divide them into debit and credit sections. Students will prepare and interpret balance sheets, income statements, ledgers, and journals. You should also learn to prepare adjusting entries related to accruals and deferrals, prepare closing entries, establish basic internal controls, and prepare financial statements.
